Let’s break traditional and get intimate. Don’t get me wrong, I do love the elegance of a three course plated meal but there is something quite fun about having an abundance of food delivered to the centre of the table, for guests to dive into. We are not talking about a medieval style self-serve buffet or an even older style banquet of ripping into a carcass, but instead a beautifully plated selection of succulent meats, with a balance of carbs and vibrant salads. But Veggies and Vegan’s, don’t feel that this option is solely for the meat eater, oh no, our vegetarian wedding options are just as substantial and stunningly presented.
At Ginger HQ, excitingly we have already seen the increase of sharing platter enquiries come through and we predict this will be a strong trend for 2017 weddings. There are quite a few reasons for couples to opt for this style of service and we at Ginger Catering Company LOVE the appeal for these following reasons…
- We love a New Forest rustic wedding and what a better way to compliment it then wooden boards laden with Charcuterie and it doesn’t stop there, at Ginger we let you choose three main dishes…
- Sharing platters create an intimate guest experience. Table awkwardness will be a thing of the past when your guests have to break the ice by sharing and bonding over most people’s favourite past time- eating!
- We find it very hard to choose what to eat and this idea gives everyone a wide selection of glorious food to eat as much or as little (as if…) as you wish.
We want your guests to lean back in their seats, wide-eyed and jaw-dropped when our staff deliver your choice of wedding cuisine to the table. We want to see big grins and satisfied tummies with that little spaced put aside to allow room for dessert without feeling bloated – to enable a great night of boogying on the dance floor. If all of that wasn’t enough we can, of course, provide that pick-me-up of evening food which features some great classics and new inspirations.
Remember, although we are mobile caterers in the heart of Hampshire, we bring our services to wherever you decided to have your wedding across the South Coast. If you wanted a nautical themed wedding in Dorset with a ‘catch of the day’ style seafood platter or the back drop of Wiltshire Countryside complimented with local meats and cheeses to match- anything is possible!
One of the reasons we got into wedding catering is because we get to show you how much we care about food and service. Sharing platters give us the opportunity to match colours, themes and add personality to dishes on your wedding day. So if you’re currently going through ideas for your wedding and need catering inspiration, get in touch with Ginger. We are excited about our upcoming Hampshire weddings and will be holding another wedding showcase in the New Forest next April 2017 and would love to see you there.
